    DUOMO designed The Eight around the technique of the Weiss Distribution Technique (WDT). The Eight perfects the WDT and produces a more even, efficient and clean distribution (good-bye funnel and paper clip!). The design and placement of the eight needles allow for optimal performance. The end result is fluffy espresso that is evenly distributed throughout the entire basket. Shots pull more consistently and showcase the espresso in its truest form.

Duomo

This device is expensive. I'm not aware of a more expensive WDT (maybe the PorquPress but it is a different device of sorts). Anyway, the Duomo is pricey. It is also very well designed & made. Further the Duomo just plain gets the job done. It provides consistent de-clumping and distribution of grounds. The tool, does the same thing each time assuming you move it consistently. So the results it provides in the portafilter and cup are consistently excellent. In my opinion, it is worth the price given build quality, consistency, and the end results it provides. When you consider the spare parts already available from the OEM, it is even better. I would buy it again. It gets my strong recommendation.

Game Changer!

Well built & well designed. Upgraded from a 4-prong hand held de-clumper. Definitely improved our extraction (we use a bottomless portafilter to visually monitor it). The extractions are now very evenly distributed right from the start, then quickly centered, and have no early blonding. We have noticed that the resulting shots are smoother and more consistent and we can now taste subtle flavor notes. I am a home barista using a La Marzocco Linea Mini, Eureka Atom Specialty 75 Grinder, and a BT Wedge Distribution Tool. This has been a game changer. Highly recommend!
