  • From the creation of the original mold to glazing, ATELIER TETE tableware is brought to life by refined craftsmanship. Te in Japanese means "hand", while Atelier Tête in French means head workshop. The word combination evokes the way that the experience of these pieces centres on the hand - traces of hand craftsmanship can be seen in the tableware, and your hands are naturally led to touch each piece. Inspired by natural objects, there is beauty in the subtle unevenness of shape, texture and tone. The edges are thin and smooth to assure comfort when using. The elegant pieces will enhance your presentations on the table.

  • Do not overheat in the microwave or heat without water. Wash with care. Do not use abrasive cleansers or steel wool. Product size and shape varies in each item due to manufacturing process. Appearance of colour glaze unevenness varies in each item. Some products may take on scorched-like texture on the surface. It is an unique glaze effect called "yo-hen", unintended colour transformation show on the ceramic and porcelain after firing.

After use of metal utensils, grey marks may become noticeable on the surface of tableware. These are called metal marks, and they are caused by the friction between porcelain and metal. To remove them, we recommend using a soft cleanser such as Bar Keeper's Friend and gently rubbing with a wet cloth or sponge.
