Fellow Stagg EKG+ Electric Pour Over Kettle
  • Description
  • Specs
  • Method
  • The new Bluetooth version of the popular Stagg EKG Electric Pour-over Kettle is now available in the Stagg EKG+.

It's the same great kettle with an intuitive, steady pour from Stagg’s precision pour spout, the electric variable temperature control that lets you brew with ease and control. Now with Bluetooth compatibility and a companion app that allows you to control the kettle remotely.

    The Details:

    • Turn the kettle on/off and set or adjust the temperature remotely via the Acaia Brewmaster App for iOS/Android, find the Stagg EKG+ in the "settings" tab. Alternatively, the EKG+ also connects to the Fellow App for iOS and the Acaia Brewbar App for iPad
    • Save recipes within the Acaia Apps so you can replicate that delicious brew from last week
    • Keep track of the temperature remotely via the Acaia Apps while the kettle is connected to the base
    • PID controller maintains the perfect temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit for up to 60 minutes
    • Display modes show the current and goal temperatures or a stopwatch to time your brew
    • 900 millilitre boiling capacity
    • Stainless steel body
    • Type-B Plug (for U.S. and Canada)
  • Never set the temperature above your local boiling point as doing so will stop the kettle from being able to shut off automatically. This may result in damage to your kettle or create the potential for a fire.

Great Kettle+

Excellent Kettle. Bluetooth function on the + is nice, but in hindsight the price jump from the standard edition is too much. That said, if you remember to fill the kettle the night before, it's nice to wake up and turn it on from bed. Great feature but likely not worth the extra expense. All in all though, a fantastic kettle, great functionality, and design is superb.

Worth it!

I am happy with my new electric kettle. I was thinking that bluetooth feature is not as useful, but it is surprisingly convenient: you can turn it on while you are in bed still, make the hot water ready for you without having to go to the kitchen and click the power. Same thing when I am watching TV in my couch. It is a very nice feature that you can just use your phone to turn on/off the kettle.

Great pour over Kettle

Great kettle to start into pour over coffee. The handle makes for easy control. I originally was not going to get the Bluetooth enabled version but when I saw it would interface with acaia apps I decided to do so. While I haven’t gotten an acaia scale yet I have found the functionality to be nice to have. The ability to start the water while working away and getting a notification that the water is up to temp is great.
I love the aesthetic of fellow gear as well and am slowly acquiring everything now.

Refined, smooth, functional

This kettle pours at the perfect rate for pour-overs. I feel like I have so much control. I never feel like I am pouring too fast, and I reach my target water weights at the right brew time. As this is a pouring kettle, the pouring experience is the best feature. This kettle heats up reasonably fast, and I love the feature that keeps it at a specific temperature. I appreciate that feature every time I use it; it is ready when I am ready. The brew timer is also nice. The EKG+ version also has the added feature of the app. I generally have not used this feature, but it is occasionally nice: I will be sitting downstairs, maybe very sleepy from waking up, remember that I want coffee, open the app and turn on the kettle, then my water is ready a few minutes later when I finally make it upstairs. But honestly, I don't use the feature that often. As a comparison, I had a Bonavita temperature-controlled kettle before this one. They had similar features and produced similar results. The Bonavita kettle is a much better value for the money, that part is not even close. But the Fellow EKG is a much better kettle; the pouring experience is better, the handle feel is better, the durability is better, and it looks WAY better. In fact, in my opinion there is no non-financial reason why the Bonavita would be better. If you have cash burning a hole in your pocket, the Stagg EKG or EKG+ is probably the right choice.

Love it!

This is a great kettle. Functional, aesthetically pleasing, variable temperature, Bluetooth capable, and has a built in timer. Retains the temperature setting for the next time you use it, and also doesn't power off when removed from the base.
Unfortunately, Fellow doesn't have an Android app and the only compatible piece of software is acaia's Brewmaster app which isn't especially useful or intuitive.

Kettle of my dreams

Great kettle, not only does it look awesome, but also a joy to use. really like how the weighted handle and how you can hold water temp for 60 min. only negative is that the Acaia brew bar app for Bluetooth connectivity is only available on iPads and not iPhones... but not the end of the world. Highly recommended!
