really nice

I have been using it at 24 clicks for pour overs; same as the shipped setting. The C40 produces a surprisingly different grind than the other grinders I have used. I would say that the grind is nicely uniform, but the surprising feature is that the ground coffee is very fluffy with much more volume. I would guess that the individual grounds have more surface area than with other grinders. Also surprising is that even very fine settings don't produce a grind that gives much resistance to the water flowing through my V60. Consequently, I've had to throw out my old rules of pouring techniques--still experimenting. So far, I find that 24 clicks gives the best taste. I finish my pour at two minutes and stop any remaining brewing at 3 minutes. The bottom line is that the coffee tastes fantastic, better than ever. My eyes popped out when I tasted the first cup.

Great Build Quality

This thing is hefty. I enjoy the metal build, wood handle and that it has both a glass and plastic container included. The grind adjustment is a bit annoying to use because it's on the inside, but I don't change it much from my pour over setting anyway.

Great Grinder for Pour Over

C40 is absolutely great for pour over! Once you grind your coffee, you will see your the uniformity of the particles. The only downside is the static, but you could pray some water to the beans to mitigate the problem.

Office French Press Hero

I've always kept a hand grinder at work for our french press and pour over. This year I decided to upgrade and I've never had such a consistent, quick and quiet grinding experience.

The ultimate tool for pourover coffee lovers

This is my second manual grinder. I've been using it for a few months, and I'm pretty satisfied. I started with a basic manual grinder (

Best price - Great product

I literally looked at every single authorized dealer from the comadante web site in canada and USA and this was the best price hands down. The grinder was as amazing as the price they offer. Ended up ordering more from these guys. great service, very quick to deliver.

Yup

Yes, you could be perfectly happy with a cheaper grinder. But I bought this as a treat for myself, and I am absolutely loving it. It's a bit slow, but it's well-made and super consistent.
As happy as I am, I do see two flaws (possibly) - One thing I genuinely dislike is that there's no effort made to help you remember what grind setting you last used. You can get around this if you notice where your three-legged clicker 'points' (use the small gear decal to orient yourself, e.g.) when you're at your zero point or preferred setting (mine points to the O of "Nitro" when I'm at 20, but yours may point somewhere else). It's easier to calculate where you are this way, instead of going back down to your zero point and counting upwards.

The second thing is that I find it odd that the three-legged clicker is so exposed. It has steel balls that click into indentations, and I believe these steel balls also provide pressure and help stabilize the inner burr. The indentations can get filled with coffee fines, though, so I wonder if this could contribute to more difficult adjustment or slightly eccentric rotation of the burr over time. I do tend to trust Comandante, though, as they seem pretty open and good to work with if anything does go wrong. I partially chose this over a Kinu because Kinu never responded to a request I sent them!
