Outstanding German craftsmanship

A very hefty, solidly built piece of machinery. I've tested it out @ under 10 clicks for espresso and above 30 clicks for press pot. Very, and I mean VERY, consistent grind throughout this range. Also, minimal fines at the courser settings (which I would rarely use, but if that's your thing, this grinder will have you singing with joy). Quality!

Your Coffee Beans Will Thank You!

I like this grinder quite a bit, and this is coming from someone who's had a Timemore C-1, as well as a Cafflano Krinder.

Physically it's quite bulky, heavier than my past hand grinders, and the build quality is premium. It turns grinding coffee into a fun activity, no pun intended.

The only little, teeny weeny fault I've noticed is that there will be a fragment of bean stuck between burrs at the end of my grind that will need to physically be taken out by clicking towards the coarser side. But that isn't a big deal to me.

Beautifully designed. Premium feel. All around great hand grinder!

Best birthday present

I bought Comandante C40 Nitro Blade for my husband for his birthday, and he loves it. He uses it every day. He says the present I ever got him. It is easy to use and clean. So, if you are looking for a birthday present idea for a coffee lover. This is the grinder to pick.

great grinder!

Great grinder and worth the wait! I've only been using it for pour over and at home but planning to try with other methods down the line and like that it is much more portable than electric grinders and seems much better result and quality than my previous manual grinders.

As good as it's reputation would suggest

I have this and a Kinu M47, both of which are exceptional grinders. The Commandante definitely seems to produce less fines and has a bit more consistency at coarser settings, though I tend to agree with the Hoff in that the Kinu is nicer to operate overall. The Commandante is way easier to carry around though and I love it overall. It's perfect for my preferred Tetsu 4:6 pourover method.

Thanks to Eight Ounce for the quick turnaround once stock was available.
