  • THE UPGRADE YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR

Fellow spent two years developing the next generation of their award-winning home brew grinder. From the finest pour-overs to the coarsest cold brews, your coffee will never be the same again.

Designed by Nick Terzulli, Fellow's VP of R&D and Certified Q Grader (the highest certification in sensory coffee assessment), the Ode Gen 2 Brew Burrs grind finer and with more precision. The broader grind range is exceptional for every brew method except espresso. With new anti-static technology for less grind mess, a redesigned load bin for smoother bean feeding, and an expanded 100 gram catch cup for batch brews, the next generation of grinding is here.

The Ode Gen 2 is designed to be a single dose grinder - that means bye bye giant hopper and hello to your coffee staying fresher, longer. Fear not, the hopper can accommodate 100g of coffee - plenty for your big batch brews. With its small footprint, thoughtful design, and premium finish, the Ode Gen 2 is the answer to your home grinding needs and then some. Stop doubting and start believing.

This 120V model is only compatible with outlets in the US and Canada. To find an international retailer near you, head HERE. Ode Brew Grinder is not an espresso grinder nor suitable for moka pots.

Better than expected!

After using a Baratza Virtuoso for nearly ten years for filter coffee, I felt like I wasn't getting the full potential out of my beans. I had played with brew methods, water, recipes and seen some marginal changes, and wondered whether my grinder might be the limiting factor. After reading a lot, and talking with the Eight Ounce coffee experts, the Ode 2 seemed like the natural step up for me.

In short: the change is surprisingly easy to taste! I expected only subtle improvements, but it's quite a lot more than that. Cup clarity is probably the biggest change - different beans taste much more distinct than before. I attribute that to a visibly more consistent grind size, particularly at finer settings. This also makes it easier to brew with the significant reduction in fines - less filter clogging and slow drawdowns in a clever dripper, and much better behaved V60 brews.

Finally - the Ode 2 delighted me with a few huge quality of life improvements:
1. Dramatically quieter than my Virtuoso was - early cups of coffee possible before the house is awake!
2. Much better handling of static - my countertops are cleaner, keeping my family happier!
3. The grinder physical size is much happier on our countertop and under cabinets
4. It's kind of fun to use - my kiddo volunteers to help make coffee every morning - who wouldn't want an assistant barista?

In short - no regrets getting this grinder despite being fairly happy with the one I'd had before. Highly recommended.

End game grinder

I had a Baratza Encore before this and tried doing a comparison test. The Ode has it easily beat. So much more depth to the flavour. It was a bit expensive, but after reading a bunch of reviews, this is probably the best at its price point and anything higher is marginal gains at best.

Just get it!

Good stuff

Moved to a gen 2 from a varia hand grinder, was tired of breaking a sweat in the morning for my morning coffee,
Wish I had switched sooner, super fast, quieter than I thought and I’ve been amazed at the change in flavour
I like it, zero regerts :)

Best Coffee Grinder we have ever owned

Waited a long time before ordering the Fellow Ode Brew Grinder while they were working on the Gen 2 burrs.
Watched many 'Tube reviews and finally made up my mind and we are really impressed with the product: the grinds are uniform and the recommended grind size for our Ratio 6 coffee maker were spot on; and by the way, the coffee is awesome.

Highly recommend to everyone who loves filter coffee!!

Excellent Grinder!

Love this grinder! I upgraded from a Hario Mini-Slim, so it was a pretty big step up. The Ode Gen 2 has excellent grind consistency and low retention. It's quiet, easy to use, and looks great on the countertop.

Would be cool if the bean hopper and grinds catcher lids snapped into place (they sort of just rest on top of the hopper and catcher). While the vanes in the grinds catcher can sort of trap coffee inside, it isn't difficult to get them out if you tap the catcher with your hand (or just pour the grinds out from the side that doesn't have the vanes). These things are little nits and have not materially detracted from my experience.

Amazing grinder

Upgraded from a Breville Dose Control, this Fellow does so much better at lightly roasted beans. Can grind nice and fine for mocha pot, which is a nice bonus.
