We are proud to present our first coffee of the year resulting from our direct import partnership with Finca Nueva Armenia. Located in the canyons of Huehuetenango, the farm is located in a valley of the Sierra Madre and has been cultivated by the Recinos family for four generations.
The twin brothers Jorge and Javier Recinos Leonardo are in charge of operating the farm. Having both completed studies in environmental engineering, they are dedicated to preserving the environment, biodiversity being at the heart of the farm's operating values. Since 1996, the farm has been operated and managed according to organic principles and has obtained certification in this sense. In order to preserve the local flora and fauna, the farm is only cleaned using machetes and hoes. The farm also holds Bird Friendly certification from the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center.
The farm's coffees are grown between 1200 and 1500 meters above sea level and include several varieties. This year, we have chosen 4 microlots. This lot is called Gemelos (twins in Spanish). In the mouth, you will find a rich coffee with notes of chocolate, dried fruit, and spices.
