In the early 1950s farmers of The New Weithaga Farmers Cooperative Society planted their coffee trees in the fertile volcanic soils along the slopes of Mount Kenya. The cooperative which is currently made up of 2700 farmers has four wet mills including Koimbi, Kahindu, Kianderi and Weithaga. Kianderi is located in Murang’a County and is known for their selective picking and thoughtful processing.
We worked together with Montreal’s own RGC Coffee to import this incredible lot green coffee which was vacuum sealed at origin to preserve freshness. The coffee was dry milled, packaged, and exported by the renowned Kenyan coffee house, Dormans.
