Blue Geisha, Natural Anaerobic:
Our Blue Geisha is the only natural processed of three anaerobic geishas that were purchased direct trade from Abu Coffee in Boquete, Panama. Blue Geisha is from Lot 17N, which is a natural that goes through an 144 hour anaerobic dry process, then spends 25 days sun-drying on raised beds. This results in a mindblowing cup that's bursting with Blueberry Gummies, Jackfruit, Raspberry, Passion Fruit and hints of Lavender and Rose.
José Luttrell, Abu Coffee
We met José Luttrell from Abu Coffee earlier this year and were blown away with his work ethic. José is a man on a mission. A hustler. A doer. He makes things happen. He's definitely got some pirate in him. 🏴☠️ Just 2 days after chatting with him on the phone, he met up with us and arranged a cupping of his legendary geisha coffees. We immediately purchased the coffee via direct trade via our sister company WE THE ORIGIN.
Abu Coffee was named to honor the memory of José Guillermo Luttrell Tedman, a third generation coffee producer from the Cañas Verdes region of Boquete, Chiriquí in Panama. "ABU" (short for Abuelo, grandfather in Spanish) is what his grandchildren used to call him. His dream was to achieve the best cup of coffee with the highest standards of quality. Abu Coffee continues to live this dream by producing some of the most incredible and unique coffees available not only in Panama, but globally. Abu Coffee is a regular in the legendary Best of Panama competitions with four 90+ scoring coffees in the top 15 spots in the past 4 years.
