About the farm and this coffee:
Franco's farm is near the town of Arboleda, which is located in one of the most dangerous parts of Nariño. Illicit crops like coca are common with violence, corruption and intimidation an unfortunate reality of this area. A brave group of farmers like Franco continues to grow coffee in spite of these difficult circumstances. Last year was the first time Franco's coffee has been separated as a microlot. With a few new improvements to farming practices this year, this coffee continues to be a great example of a terroir-driven, minimal intervention coffee.
