Founded in 2006 by Tadesse Edema, the Tabu Burka washing station was one of the first in the community, allowing Tadesse to form strong relationships with local farmers. This naturally processed coffee is so clean and articulate, we roasted it a touch lighter to highlight the bright pomegranate and strawberry flavours, and the floral aromas of hibiscus and rose.

This family-owned roasterie was founded in 2015 with 16-year-old Keegan Street roasting as a hobby from the rooftop of his family home in Fernie, BC. A year later, the family took the leap, got a commercial drum roaster and haven’t looked back since. Today, Rooftop roasts and brews coffee in the heart of historic downtown Fernie in their newly opened coffee bar/roasterie. Their current HQ is actually located below the roof where it all started! Though they’ve now moved down to the ground floor, they still feel the same excitement every time they open a fresh bag of green coffee.
