Ok ok ok. This one is a banger!! I don't often cup many Honduran coffees of exceptionally high quality but this lot is most definitely an exception. Not only that but Roger Domínguez is a big supporter of the specialty coffee industry in his hometown helping to elevate his entire community. It's a win win.
This lot is a fruit red fruit bomb! It's super sweet and thanks to the anaerobic processing it is fairly clean, especially for a natural processed coffee. I'm excited to offer this coffee and I can't wait to here your feedback!
From the importer:
Roger Antonio Domínguez Márquez owns several farms in La Paz, Marcala, including the 4.23-hectare plot called Finca De La Cueva. Roger met green-coffee buyer Piero Cristiani at a Specialty Coffee Association Expo event one year, and now he is one of our strongest partners in Honduras. He not only works with his family on his own farms, but he also sources coffee from his neighbours, paying them considerably higher than they would get otherwise from intermediary buyers; we source many of our Marcala Regional Select coffees through Roger, since he has a fantastic eye for quality.
