Tasting Notes: Dark chocolate, Molasses, Red wine, Dried berries

Monarch is Onyx Coffee Lab's most developed roast that conveys a flavor profile that they intentionally designed to work well with milk. Cream and plant based beverages mix with ease, creating a rich, decadent flavor. It involves a natural, sugar-dense coffee that binds to the fats and creates multiple complex caramelized notes during the roasting process. Look for dark chocolate and undertones of thick winey berries. Enjoy as drip or espresso.

Highly praised coffee blend described as 'sweet, balanced' with 'deep, rich, velvety chocolatey goodness.' Customers loved it for espresso and milk drinks, noting it's 'easy to dial in' and pairs beautifully with oat milk. Most found it delicious, though one shopper felt it was too dark for their taste. Works well for both espresso and pourover.

Delicious, as always.

Love everything about Onyx. Their coffee is amazing and so is their packaging. The packaging makes the coffee experience 10/10. I made lots of cappuccinos with these beans. So good!

Another great coffee from onyx. This is definitely my new favourite for milk drinks, especially as a Mocha.

Classic coffee, with medium/medium-dark roast profile

Well, the coffee is classic. Medium to medium dark roast. Possibly good for a classic espresso drink. It's not my choice for a more modern pour over.

The webstie description is sadly not comprehensive enough. I would have not bought it had I read the package information. I am just coping over the data on the package for information:
"TRADITIONAL •00000 MODERN
MONARCH IS A BLEND OF NATURAL ETHIOPIA AND WASHED LATIN AMERICA COFFEES. IT EXTRACTS AS A FRUIT- FORWARD CLASSIC ESPRESSO OR A DARK FILTER COFFEE. THIS COFFEE UTILIZES SEASONAL MICRO-LOTS TO RECREATE THE SAME FLAVOR PROFILE YEAR ROUND. Nice Espresso

Easy to dial in. Good textures and sweetness as traditional style espresso. Pairs nicely with milk

Great Modern Espresso

This one is all about the body and mouthfeel. Great as espresso.

Beautifully balanced!

A beautiful balance of sweetness and richness without being "mouth heavy". Cuts wonderfully through milk as well!
