Tasting Notes: Dark Chocolate, Molasses, Spice

The Aurora Blend is the third blend that Transcend have introduced in the last couple of years. Like their other blends, it comprises seasonal selections to achieve a consistent flavour profile. They named this blend after the Northern Lights, symbolizing a slight move north regarding the roast level and their love for the aurora borealis, which shines bright on some nights in the north where they live and roast coffee. This coffee is slightly darker than their typical roast levels, offering up flavours that lean more towards dark chocolate and nuttiness.

I have a very refined palate when it comes to coffee so I find this coffee is a little more bitter

I have a very refined palate when it comes to coffee so I find this coffee is a little more bitter than I like for pour overs but it is very good for my espresso.
So it does say in the description that it isgood for both filter and espresso but I would have to disagree

Solid Alternative to Gateway

Nice to try something different other than the Gateway beans (which I love). Transcend has great coffee beans for espresso!

Solid & Smooth

Really solid medium-dark. Chocolatey and smooth when brewed pour-over; what’s not to like?

Super smooth and mellow. Aurora Blend hits that sweet spot—clear head, good vibes, no crash. Definitely coming back for more.

Spiced!

Fantastic roast! We like it ground and brewed for our mocha pot. It has truly wonderful warm spiced notes and overall just good and smooth! If spice notes aren’t for you, check out their Gateway blend!!

Great coffee but…

It was great coffee but if I hadn’t tried the argyle blend first, I would have probably liked this more. Their other blend is just so dang good.

Not sure which coffee is right for you?
