Three Marks - Rosma Coffee Bordillo
COF-3M-0011Mrs. María Figueroa de Argueta began coffee cultivation in Chiantla in 1953, initially planting Typica, Bourbon, and Maragogipe varieties. Over the years, her son Erwin Modesto Argueta Figueroa expanded the farm to 11.56 hectares, incorporating Caturra, Pache Verde, and Pache Rojo. With the establishment of the Unión Cantinil municipality in 2005, managed by Erwin Humberto Argueta Herrera, the farm shifted its focus to quality coffee, implementing advanced production techniques and prioritizing sustainability. In response to Guatemala's coffee leaf rust epidemic in 2012, they ventured into specialty coffees, achieving notable rankings in the Cup of Excellence by 2016 and 2018. The coffee production process involves meticulous cherry harvesting, pulping, fermentation, washing, and drying to ensure optimal flavour and quality.
