Tasting Notes: Cherry Blossoms, Dark Chocolate, Cola

Edwin Norena and local smallhold farmers produced the coffees for this dark-roasted blend in Colombia. Combining traditional washed and carbonic natural cherry co-ferment processing creates deep body and complex sweetness, highlighting notes of cherry blossoms, dark chocolate, and cola.

A bold, experimental coffee with intense funky and jammy flavors described as "like a boozy black forest cake." Customers praised the distinctive co-ferment character and cherry notes. Some found it "overly funky" for their taste. One shopper noted roast level discrepancy, calling it darker than advertised. Best suited for adventurous coffee lovers seeking non-classic flavor profiles.

Funky, winey, jammy, amazing

This is one of the best coffees I’ve had. I went two days in a row to Eight Ounce’s showroom cafe and had it in a cortado and a cappuccino and was blown away by the intensity of flavours. Feels like a boozy black forest cake. I had to buy the beans to have it at home.

Lots of funk

A bit overly funky for my taste but others I brewed for loved it so likely just a slight mismatch with my taste preferences

Dark roast

Listed as a light roast on eight ounce, but it's very much a dark roast. Probably a great if you're into light roasts, cherry flavour comes through.

This one has a really bold co-ferment character! If you’re a fan of "non-classic" profiles and experimental processing, this is definitely the choice for you. A total flavor bomb.
