Ultimately lacking

I really wanted to like this coffee after reading several other glowing review. For me, I couldn't get the bright notes other mentioned. I let the rest coffee as well after initially being underwhelmed but didn't see much improvement YMMV

This is type of coffee I like

This is type of coffee I like, solid filter. And for such reasonable price a really good daily coffee.

This is a solid anaerobic coffee at a very reasonable price point. I tend to only reach for more processed coffees every few cups to mix things up, but this feels like one like that I could enjoy more frequently. It does have the "fermenty" profile, but the tropical fruits are balanced enough that it could be more of a daily drinker versus reaching "novelty" territory where I'd only want a sample of it.

I brewed on a V60 with 15:1 ratio and 185F water, coarser grind than typical. This coffee extracted very easily.

Subtle fruity notes

Very nice blend of fruity notes. Took a bit more to dial it in, but quite tasty afterward.

First time trying Dak!

Tried getting it and tasted fruity but not in a very sweet way. But it tasted very tropical and very juicy

This is a very special roast and needs more love! I drink my shots straight with hot water (long blacks) and enjoy a strong body with complexity/elegance. If you dial it well during its peak window, you can feel strong fruit and cacao on every sip. Just a perfect balance. What a joy to drink this every morning.

Fruity and juicy

Wow, this is a really fruity and juicy coffee without too much acidity. We made it with our Aeropress, and it was a really smooth, delicious cup. Dak is producing consistently amazing coffee this year!

Very fruity, high clarity.

DAK hits it out of the park yet again. This is my first Rwandan coffee I’ve ever tried and I’m very satisfied. Natural anaerobics are generally not my favourite because I’ve had some really over-the-top funky, almost alcoholic-like, experiences in the past. Not pleasant for me. This, though, is not that. There’s a very faint, almost imperceptibly buried funky note but instead of being a detraction I find it actually enhances the corresponding bright tropical fruit notes. It’s just so sweet and fruity. It has a very light, tea-like body, which makes sense as this is a *very* lightly roasted coffee. I hope they get the 1000g bags of this back in stock!

Great coffee!

The fruit notes are quite nteresting and complex for the price, and the cocoa comes through nicely as well. Solid value for an every day cup!

Milky Cake is my favorite, but this one is amazing!

So happy I found this store and can purchase this brand of coffee. It is my new favorite! I cannot find it anywhere and was very excited when I found it.

Delicious coffee, more subtle than expected

Definitely try. Well roasted and processed, brews nicely. Not as funky as I expected, and the tropical fruits really shine. Decent price point as well!

Bright and fruity

This coffee is stunning—bright mango and red fruit notes balanced with deep cocoa.

Magical

As mentioned in other reviews this coffee does interesting things with temperature. I like it both ways, higher extraction and intensity, lower extraction and clarity.

Complex and Juicy

Dialing in this coffee was very interesting, at higher temps you get the tropical fruits, but a bit of the processing comes through. I dialed it back to around 92C and man was this a delight. Got the mango and cacao notes and the after taste was like Pina colada ish. Very good, would purchase again!
