The Hario Switch is incredibly versatile. The hybrid design lets you easily mess around with immersion and percolation, making it perfect for trying out different recipes. The white ceramic is solid quality and looks great as an accent piece against all my matte black gear.

Somedays you're just lazy and you use immersion. Somedays you can use it as a V60

I’m having a lot of fun with this brewer. There are a lot of interesting methods to mix and match to try out, and honestly some mornings I just want to “set it and forget it” like a French press (but with an easy cleanup). It’s versatile and makes delicious brews. It’s easy to clean and doesn’t take up a lot of space.

Really enjoying the coffee coming out of the switch - I use Tetso's recipe with 20 grams of coffee, 2 x 75ml pours in the open postion with 96C water, then 1 x 150ml pour in the closed position with 75C water (1.15 minutes). More sweetness, clarity and body than my Kalita gives

Very aesthetically pleasing brewer. Given that I adjusted the brew method with the switch, I like the coffee that I get from this better than a regular v60.

I keep getting perfect brews from this spectacular dripper. I employ the “hybrid method” with two pours; the first being with the switch open for pour-over fruity brightness, then the second pour with the switch closed to gain a nice body and complexity. I LOVE IT!

As we all know the iconic glass switch has been around for couple of years now, so why do we need a ceramic version of this? The difference is between the material and rib structure. I used to preheat the glass switch but it didn't retain much heat so makes the whole preheating ritual quite disappointing, but not the ceramic version! It can retain heat way better than the glass one and it's quite interesting how a slower draw down with better heat retention makes this version of switch more play-able with these additional dimensions which results in a sweeter cup.
