This certified organic ceremonial matcha from the Wazuka region in Kyoto is a first flush tea picked in early June and carefully stone-ground. It is a single cultivar (Okumidori) grown in a single estate tea field at 210 m altitude. As with most matcha teas made from this cultivar, it has a beautiful deep green colour. Best enjoyed in the traditional manner whisked in hot water, but also works well as an ingredient in lattes and smoothies.
