A 58mm, 150 micron mesh, 2mm thick Stainless 316 Puck Screen. Use it to keep your dispersion screen clean, or to reduce puck top erosion that can lead to channeling. Or just to reduce above-puck clearance when fine tuning your dosage. A simple, versatile tool that has quickly been adopted by forefront espresso connoisseurs worldwide.

Puck screens have developed a big following the past few years, and for good reason. They can help to buffer higher velocity water coming out of a group head dispersion screen, which has a tendency to erode the top of a puck and potentially induce channeling. They are great at acting as a sacrificial layer to keep your dispersion screen cleaner.

    • Stainless 316 marine grade 150um mesh
    • Fused together at 2.0mm thick
  • Use on top of your espresso puck to improve extraction.

Recommended!

I'm new to the world of espresso and the Weber Workshops puck screen is my first one. It is thicker than expected (in a good way), appears to give an even extraction, and keeps everything just a bit tidier. I haven't had any issues cleaning it. One thing to mention is that it is not magnetic, but I just fish it out of the knock box. I don't find that it disrupts my workflow at all. Would recommend if you like the brand!

Can't go wrong

Great all around puck screen. Nice Weber branding and logo.

Now, is this better than other similar puck screens? Hard to tell. Is it worth the premium price on quality alone? Debatable.

Would recommend if you are a fan of Weber and what they represent. Otherwise regular basic ones will do just fine. But I definitely recommend a puck screen as a whole.

Was skeptical but it really makes a difference

Espresso accessories can often get out of hand with people posting their routine online you wonder if all of this is necessary and makes a difference. I was very skeptical about this product but decided to give it a go.

Extraction is noticeably more even with a bottomless portafilter. The puck is dryer and it everything comes out clean. Can I taste the difference? Yes. Is it an absolute must to get? No but it you can afford one it’s worth it.

It probably worth the price but not for me

Not going to give a lower rating just because I realized puckscreen creates more problem in my work flow than it solves. The quality seems to be superior with solid thick build. So I'm giving it a high rating.

Prevents grounds from getting in to the shower head.

It was thicker than the current one I had, however it works great with my Lelit machine and I found I am kind of using it more often than the thin one. Compared without using it, puck screen did keep the e61 group head cleaner and there was much less residual powder.
