Rogue Wave Coffee - Udesa Fora
COF-RW-0153This refined washed coffee is produced at the Udesa Fora station in the Kercha district of Guji, Ethiopia. Managed by Mekonnen Beriso, the station collects cherries from 300–400 smallholder farmers who grow shade-grown heirloom varieties at altitudes reaching 2,100 meters. The name "Udesa Fora" translates to "resting under a tree," reflecting the unique microclimate where cool nights and moderate sun allow for the development of complex sugars. Following a precise 72-hour fermentation and traditional washing, the coffee offers a quintessential Guji profile: crisp citrus notes of lemon peel, the soft sweetness of apricot, and a delicate, tea-like finish with jasmine aromatics.
