The Pallo Coffeetool is a smarter, better way to clean your espresso machine group heads. Unlike other brushes, its unique patented design and water deflector fins keep your hands cool and dry while cleaning. The onboard dosing spoon measures the correct amount of detergent, and the steam-wand vent poker unclogs blocked vent holes!

NOTE: Always move the Pallo Coffeetool in a clockwise motion when brushing grinds and debris from the group head to avoid loosening the Coffeetool bristle head insert.

    • Dimensions: 25.4x228.6x50.8mm (1x9x2in)
    • Replaceable bristles save money and resources. Why throw away the whole handle just because the bristles have worn out?
    • Steam wand vent hole cleaner keeps vent holes clear of mineral deposits and milk residue, ensuring proper aeration of milk
    • The Detergent dosing spoon doses the appropriate amount of backflush detergent
    • PALLO Coffetool Replacement Bristles (3-Pack) available (sold separately)
  • How to Use Pallo Coffeetool
Brush the group head screen and channel with the Pallo Coffeetool while the water is running. The Coffeetool water deflecting fins will keep your hands dry and cool.

    • Place your thumb over the oval before the bend in the Coffeetool neck (see illustration)
    • NOTE: Always move the Coffeetool in a clockwise motion when brushing grinds and debris from the group head to avoid loosening the Coffeetool bristle head insert
    • The Steam Wand vent hole cleaner keeps vent holes clear of mineral deposits and milk residue, ensuring proper aeration of milk

    Backflush Instructions
NOTE: Some of the following steps require a commercial or semi-commercial back flushable espresso machine. If you are unsure if your espresso machine fits this profile, check with your espresso machine manufacturer before proceeding. If your machine is NOT a back flushable commercial or semi-commercial espresso machine, use step 3 ONLY.

    1. Using Pallo Coffeetool group head brush's onboard detergent spoon, place a spoonful or less of your favorite backflush detergent into a "blind insert" (without holes) in your portafilter handle.
    2. Attach the portafilter to the group and start backflushing your machine, following the instructions on your detergent package.
    3. When it's time to flush out the system, run the group and start scrubbing the shower screen and the nooks and crannies of your group with the Pallo Coffeetool group head brush. Always move the Pallo Coffeetool group head brush clockwise when cleaning the group head channel to avoid unscrewing the bristle head. This is a good time to use the Pallo Coffeetool group head brush as the hot running water helps wash away spent grounds, rancid coffee resins, flavours, and odours. The benefit of using the Pallo Coffeetool is apparent at this stage as your hands stay cool and dry.
    4. Backflush your machine again, this time without detergent, and repeat step #3
    5. Use the Pallo Coffeetool steam wand vent poker to unclog steam wand vent holes that have become clogged with dried milk residue or other debris (rust, hard water deposits, etc.) from inside your steam wand.

pallo coffeetool

Highly-rated espresso maintenance tool praised for durability and effective cleaning. Customers said it "keeps group head so clean" and "works perfectly" for scrubbing screens and filters. Features replaceable bristles, detergent scoop, and steam wand pin. Some noted it's "a little pricey" but still worthwhile. Praised for stiff bristles and multi-functionality.

A great, functional tool. We got this for our Magister to clean the group head more precisely, and it works great.

Sturdy and Effective

The only thing I use for weekly maintenance of my machine. Nice little scoop for consistent amounts of powder detergent.

Works well

This works well for cleaning the group and shower screen. I use it as a supplement to the Espazzola.

Helpful to supplement the Weber back flush

Good for a deeper scrub, and the scoop is perfect size for the powder I put in the Weber to back flush.

A little pricey for what it is, but it's a good tool to have.

It's got good stiff bristles, which are actually interchangeable / replaceable so you don't need to buy the whole tool again. It also has a pin with a safety covering on the other end for cleaning steam wand holes (which really shouldn't ever get clogged up if you're doing it right!).

Doses Cafiza and scrubs filters

An excellent tool for measuring out Cafiza and scrubbing espresso machine group heads.

I've used these brushes for years and I'll continue ordering them as long as I own an espresso machine.

I highly recommend them to anyone serious about coffee in their shop or at home.

Nice bristle shape and material

This is working very well for cleaning my group head. The firmness allows me to clean the screen, and the surrounding area. The diameter of the brush is great for my Rancilio silvia, and the bristles are firm enough to scrub out the coffee grounds that get stuck up there. I really like that you can swap the bristles out with new ones; cool feature. In the 6-7 months that I have used it, my bristles still look pretty new, so no need to replace them yet. The body is made of nice firm plastic and the shape is good. I never really use the steam wand poker or the detergent dosing spoon, so I cannot comment on those aspects.

Works great

I'm a novice at the whole espresso thing but what I'm good at is doing research for the right accessories!
Brush is good. Bristles feel nice and long lasting. I think I'll get a ton of use out of it before needing more brush heads

Great Brush

Got into the world of Espresso and needed a brush. This one was reasonably priced, had multiple handy "bonus" features, and is lest wasteful with it's replacement brush heads. So far it's done and excellent job at keeping everything clean and running smooth. I don't foresee having tor replace the brush head anytime soon, it still seems good as new.

Cleans up my machine well

I use it to scrub off the dispersion screen of my home machines. Works well and gets into the cracks. Haven't had to replace the brush yet, but nice to know I can do that.
