Rooftop - Ethiopia Duromina
COF-RT-0039Coffees from Agaro and the Kata Muduga Co-Op, particularly Nano Challah and Nano Genji washing stations, have gained popularity for their consistent deliciousness. The Duromina washing station, also owned by Kata Muduga, has impressed with its complex profile featuring jasmine tea, lime zest, and oolong aromas, along with a clear grape acidity. The station's success is attributed to the USAID TechnoServe project, which transformed the region's coffee quality by establishing washing stations and providing training. Kata Muduga Cooperatives Union, founded by Asnake Nigat and Ephrem Kebede, plays a crucial role in improving the coffee value chain by facilitating cooperation among farmer cooperatives, resulting in increased exports and higher returns for growers.
