Kapé Philippine Coffee
In celebration of Philippine Heritage Month, we are excited to offer Kapé Philippine Coffee. The Vancouver-based social enterprise sources farmer-direct, single origin coffees from Indigenous women in the Philippines. Naming coffees after their partner farmers and listing tasting notes like langka (jackfruit) and calamansi (calamondin), founders Iona and Paolo Fresnoza seek to decolonize coffee and honour Philippine Indigenous culture. Their logo features two characters from the ancient Philippine script of Baybayin, which spells out "kape," the Filipino word for coffee.
