We strongly believe you can enjoy an unopened bag of coffee 10 or more weeks past the roast date; however, we still aim to reduce pricing by 20% for any coffee once it is 6 weeks past roast.

Wilton Benitez owns and operates La Macarena, one of his three coffee farms in Piendamo, Cauca, Southwestern Colombia. Covering 75 hectares at altitudes between 1800 and 2100 meters, the farm is part of his 12-year experience in cultivating rare coffee varietals. Wilton's family background in coffee led him to explore fermentation technology from other industries, applying it to develop unique flavors in coffee processing. La Macarena Farm is recognized for its innovative techniques, including terraces, a microbiology lab, and specialized protocols for 26 coffee varieties, showcasing Wilton's commitment to preserving intrinsic attributes and enhancing flavors.

It’s a different bean. Personally I like fruitier coffees. It was worth a try.
