Laurina, also known as Bourbon Pointu, is an exotic coffee varietal renowned for its naturally low caffeine content, approximately 0.8%, compared to typical Arabica coffees at 1.8%. Cultivating Laurina in Indonesia presents challenges due to its susceptibility to leaf rust and diseases; however, through cross-breeding and natural mutation techniques, Supriyanto has successfully produced the first Indonesian-grown Laurina.
