  • THE KEY DIFFERENCE TO THE TASTE IN YOUR CUP

The Baratza Encore is the ultimate entry-level grinder for your craft coffee journey and is an essential item for every home coffee drinker. With a tried and true performance, the Encore has built a reputation for reliability and consistency. Built with commercial-grade conical burrs that allow you to explore an extensive range of brew methods and recipes.

Straightforward controls make your daily routine simple and easy. Load up your hopper with your favorite beans, turn the hopper to the grind setting you want, switch the Baratza Encore on and let the precision conical burrs deliver consistent, quality ground coffee every time.

Beyond a great coffee-making experience, the Encore lets you explore new coffee flavors. With 40 individual grind settings, you can find the perfect grind size for all brewing methods. The hopper can hold 8 ounces of whole beans, and the clear grounds bin has a fill line to indicate how much to grind.

The Encore's 40 mm, European-made, conical burrs will grind for many styles of coffee and will remain sharp for many years. Turn the hopper and with 40 settings and a grind range from 250 to 1200 microns, you can quickly adjust from fine for espresso to coarse for French Press. The Encore uses a combination of gear and electronic speed reduction to control the rotation of the burr to 550 RPM. This slow speed reduces heat, noise, and static generation in the grinder. It also ensures that the beans feed smoothly into the burrs.

Great Machine - Lives up to the hype!

This machine works great and totally is living up to the hype. Easy to setup and dial in. Can't wait to use this for years to come!

Best entry level grinder for your $

There is no grinder that comes close to Encore's performance at this price range. My only gripe is how loud the machine is, but this is absolutely expected for the price. You can replace almost every part if anything goes wrong, and you can even upgrade your burr when you feel the need.

Great grinder. The grinds are very uniform. Works great. Super happy with this purchase.

Encore Baratza grinder

I have had the grinder now for 2 weeks and it has met all my high expectations. The grind definitely adds to the pureness of the coffee particularly coupled with my Moccamaster I purchased from you a month ago.

Great starter grinder

I purchased this to replace a Hario Skerton Slim Hand grinder for my daily pourover. It doesn't have all of the bells and whistles that some more expensive, niche grinders do but for it's perfect for my day-to-day coffee needs.

The pros: Consistent grind, simple and easy to replicate grind-size adjustments, simple directions, and based on word of mouth if anything were to go wrong it seems pretty straightforward to source parts and directions for repair.

The cons: Noisy. I'm a bit self-concious about running this if I'm the first one awake in the house, it takes about a minute to grind ~30g of beans for my morning pourover and it's hard to ignore during that time. To be clear it's not something that you're going to hear from long distances away but it's definitely noticable.

Final notes: Switching from the Skerton Slim to the Encore has been the single biggest improvement to the flavor and consistency of my morning coffee yet, I'll likely want to upgrade again some day but I would buy this again in a heartbeat and am happy to recommend it to anybody else in the market for a good grinder.

Great for french press, pour overs, cold brews or anything that requires more of a medium-coarse grind. It's a good investment especially if you're just starting out with home brew and looking for a good performance - decently priced grinder!

was previously using the Cuisinart DBM-8C whose grind was all over the place, everything from fine to medium in one grinding session. There was no way to tune it in. The Barazza's grind is much more consistent, therefore easier to get a sweeter or more extracted cup. Yes you can have control over what the beans will provide. Really happy with it.
