Cultivated at Finca Santa Maria by Iván Gerardo Solís R., this coffee features Villa Sarchi trees grown at 1,650 meters above sea level in Costa Rica’s Santos region. The Solis &Cordero Micromill, founded by the Solís Cordero family in 2018, supports smallholders with cherry processing, export services, and quality control, ensuring farm-level traceability. Iván and his family carefully handpick ripe cherries, wash and ferment them in tanks for 48 hours, then dry the cherries on raised beds before pulping. The parchment and remaining mucilage are dried on raised beds with regular raking to ensure even drying over approximately 14 days.
