Tasting Notes: Tropical Fruits, Cocoa, Ripe Fruits

This experimental lot is inspired by the emotional connection of the producer's family to the coffee community as a whole. Coffee farming, processing, and distribution for consumption have been kept in silos and their family believes this can change. The idea of this coffee is to provide the most authentic coffee cup of Rwandan coffee to coffee lovers, making the consumer think of the producer as the grower also keeps the buyer in mind when processing the coffee.

One of the best light-to-medium roasts I’ve ever had

Full of flavour

Interesting, funky, and kind of spicy flavour. I sometimes drink it blended to calm down the funkiness, as it's rather intense and almost savoury I'd say.

Delicious on espresso with a lower ratio

I typically brew with a 1:3 ratio or even longer, but this coffee shined at 1:2 or 1:2.5, 95C, roughly 30 second extraction with the DF64P. Made a lovely cup, good as just a shot or as a milk drink as well. I got some notes of fruit, but it was definitely cocoa-forward rather than the mango that is advertised, which is fine by me. It tasted great.
