  • What is it?
The LUCCA M58 is a stainless steel dual boiler, rotary pump, E61 espresso machine with a built-in PID and shot timer that can be direct plumbed or run on its built-in reservoir. Built by Quick Mill in Italy.

    Who is it for?
The espresso lover who holds aesthetic and delicious espresso to be of equal importance. With a PID and commercial standard 58mm group head, you can pull shots just how the roaster intended or just as easily go off and experiment with your own new recipes. You want every shot to be a ritualistic experience. Grinding, tamping, lifting the M58's polished stainless steel brew lever, watching the espresso drip from its included bottomless portafilter. Plus, you need enough steam power for when your milk-with-a-spot-of-coffee friends are over.

    Why did LUCCA make it?
LUCCA wanted to build the espresso machine of their dreams. Simple, beautiful, and capable of pulling fantastic shots with ease. Not only is it a joy to use but it's an eye-catcher on the bar. We're quite confident that goal was accomplished with the LUCCA M58 as this is one of their best selling machines, and it's also our go-to when we want to nerd out with a new single origin. Every touch point and detail is designed and built for both quality and to bring a sense of joy to every shot. LUCCA included a bottomless portafilter because they know most home baristas love them. Its navy PID display matches its pressure gauges. This extends to the inside of the machine, where LUCCA has outfitted the M58 V2 with modern stainless steel boilers and 1400W heating elements. This makes for unrivaled durability, and also means that in 1 minute 30 seconds the machine can pull a shot, steam 12oz of milk, and be back at its target temp for the next drink. That's faster than most baristas operate, so you can serve a party of any size. Or, just pull that morning espresso without waking the family thanks to its nearly silent rotary pump.

Direct Plumb

Direct plumbing means you can hook a machine directly to a water line and never have to worry about refilling your reservoir again. These machines also allow you to connect the drip tray to a drain, so you don't have to make that tightrope walk to the sink.

Double Boiler

Dual boiler espresso machines have dedicated brew and steam boilers, allowing you to pull shots and steam milk at the same time, making for an efficient and streamlined experience. With independent temperature control, you can also dial in the perfect temperature to make your roast of choice shine.

E61 Group Head

The E61 group head was designed in 1961; the fact that it's still around speaks to its reliability. This style of group head allows for mechanical pre-infusion while also exuding romantic espresso machine style.

Joystick Operated Steam/Hot Water

Joystick-operated valves make steam and hot water dispensing instant on and off. Simply flick the steam valve when the milk has reached the optimum temperature, and the valve will spring closed. These non-compression valves are a very durable and easy to maintain design.

PID Temperature Control

PIDs allow the most precise temperature adjustment and control of boilers by continuously calculating the amount of power needed to maintain the target temperature. They also allow more detailed information to be displayed to the user than traditional thermostat controlled systems.

The reservoir is the water tank an espresso machine pulls water from to fill its boilers. Having a reservoir means a machine can be more portable and work in homes where plumbing isn't an option.

Rotary Pump

The rotary vane pump offers whisper quiet performance just like your favorite cafe’s machine. This super-robust design also allows plumb-ability.

Shot Timer

Shot timers measure the brew time from the time the pump is activated. This information is extremely helpful for dialing in an espresso grinder to the ideal 25-second 1.5oz shot, and maintaining consistency.

Switchable Water Source

A switchable machine is not limited to either a water reservoir or plumbing. Large water reservoirs are always available for portability, but the plumbing line is also included and switching the water source between them is a breeze.
