Tasting Notes: Rosehip, Passion fruit, Chocolate

Silvio Roberto and his family produced an amazing coffee that has notes of raspberry, rosehip, and plum danish. The cherries are selected by screening, then floated and fermented anaerobically for 9 to 10 days. After that, they are dried on raised beds for 25 days and rested at a humidity of 12%.

Manhattan Silvio Roberto Anaerobic Natural

The dry fragrance and aroma from the cup very nice. Quite a tasty coffee.

Nice

It's been a while since I've had a Brazilian coffee and this one didn't disappoint. Unlike most Brazilians I've had in the past, this one is fruit forward

Fruity

It tastes amazing! I brewed it using Hario Switch and you can taste all the notes mentioned on this page. One of the best.

Great Brazilian Natural

This isn't your typical Brazilian. While it has the body you expect from that region, it has fruitier overtones and brighter acidity that I usually expect in a Brazilian. It cups more like an Ethiopian Harrar to me. It doesn't have the wildness of a natural process Ethiopian, but otherwise is similar.

The roast is excellent, light and long, to keep the body while bringing out the sweet fruity caramel flavours. Nice. It got to me pretty fresh and blooms nicely. Packaging is good.

Just a really good cup and a great benchmark for my home roasting. It's hard , or almost impossible, to get those slow, low roasts with a home roaster so this one is pretty special.

Intense, fruity

Another enjoyable Brazilian coffee from Manhattan: this one is a lot more intense in flavour, with notes of spices and passion fruit, and less of a prominent chocolate/nutty base. Lies somewhere between Ze Claudio and Inacio Soares 454 in terms of strength and flavour, and tastes a little like fermented fruit as it cools.
