Onyx - Eclipse

The box says that it’s a dark roast so I was ready for a slightly more bitter tasting coffee. But when I finally got to trying these out, it was much more balanced and flavourful than I initially thought it’d be. I’ve been drinking it black, but I also recommend this for anyone wanting to try a darker roast!

This is one of my top 2 roasts for milk based drinks. The chocolate and caramel notes really come through, and this one also has good complexity to it!

The box is just beautiful. I bought both eclipse and monarch from the onyx brand. The eclipse was much better in my opinion.

Decided to pick up a box of this coffee to try and shake things up, as I mostly find myself leaning towards much lighter roasts. It has been a joy to brew and I've loved the rich and chocolaty cups that it has made. I've had a ton of success when following the suggested French press recipe on Onyx's website. Looking forward to trying out different brewing methods.

Really enjoyable coffee, brewing is mostly as espresso, to make milk drinks. Favour notes are very vivid. Still prefer the funk of tropical weather from onyx, but this makes a great relaxing drink.
