Tasting Notes: Honey, Hazelnut, Orchard Fruit

Honey Haze is a delicate, sweet and balanced espresso. If honey sweetness is what you're after with this one. There are also fruit cake notes as well as subtle orange sweetness. It's designed for those that want to begin exploring flavours of fruit in their coffee without tipping the scales to a "fruity" espresso.

This espresso delivers a bright, balanced flavor profile without overpowering acidity. Customers said it offers "tons of flavor and easy to dial in" with a nice fruity quality. However, some found it lacks character in milk drinks, with a few noting a "dusty" aftertaste. The Catuai varietal may not suit all preferences.

Delicious and bright without overpowering acidity

Delicious and bright without overpowering acidity. a great balance of what you might expect from a light and dark roast.

Okay; nothing special

Makes a nice, balanced, fruity espresso that isn't overly acidic or bitter, but I don't think it has enough structure or character to stand out in a milk drink. I agree with the other reviewer that commented that this has a "dusty" feel.

This bag convinced me that the Catuai varietal doesn't agree with me.

I hold Phil & Sebastian in high regard, and yet, I disliked the "dusty" feel left on my tongue by this coffee. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the varietal is Catuai, and I've learned from previous purchases that I tend to dislike this variety. Going through this bag, I've decided from now on to stay away from this specific varietal.
