Tasting Notes: Luxardo, Dark Chocolate Cake, Coffee on the Patio

This bold blend combines naturals from Wilton Benitez’s Granja Paraiso 92 in Colombia and Edaurdo Perreira’s Bioma Cafe in Brazil, featuring the 74110 varietal. Designed to be a distinct take on a dark roast, it offers a traditional richness with an extra layer of jammy floral fruit, featuring notes of Luxardo cherry liqueur and dark chocolate cake

Dark roast coffee that works well as espresso with "syrupy body and rich crema." Customers said it delivers a classic, old-school profile with chocolate notes when brewed correctly at lower temperatures (85C or below). Some found it easy to over-extract, resulting in bitterness. Mixed reviews on flavor, with opinions ranging from smooth to lacking depth.

A Nostalgic, Familiar Taste

Great as an espresso, with a syrupy body and rich crema. It leans into a classic, old-school profile. The flavour lands close to what they describe as “coffee on the patio,” like a strong cup of black coffee your dad might brew on a slow Saturday morning.

Ok

Ok. Easy to over-extract. I thought the after taste left a little to be desired.

The worst coffee I have had is quite some time

The worst coffee I have had is quite some time. No real pop of flavor, only a bitter after taste. Real disappointment. Definitely would not order again.

Jean-Guy likes his coffee well roasted

Jean-Guy likes his coffee well roasted. when you hit the grind, and temp just right on this very dark roast, I got a smooth , chocolatey cup. 85C or lower worked for me.

Not sure which coffee is right for you?
