Ceado Announced as the Qualified Grinder Sponsor for 2026-2027 World Barista Championships
The World Barista Championships has chosen Ceado, Italy-based manufacturer of commercial and high-end home grinders, as the official Qualified Espresso Grinder of the 2026-2027 competition cycle.
About The World Barista Championships
The World Barista Championships has grown to become one of the largest and most revered international competitions in the specialty coffee industry, with the first-ever cycle taking place back in 2000. In recent years according to WBC, over 50 competitors from around the globe gather to demonstrate their exceptional barista skills on the world stage.
As the WBC continues to develop its outreach in a community of coffee professionals and emerging competitors, a greater emphasis is placed on Qualified Sponsored brands and their role in building “consistency and fairness on the world-class stage where baristas perform”.
Ceado Rev Zero and E37Z-Naked: Cutting-Edge Espresso & Filter Coffee Grinders
As the Qualified Espresso Grinder sponsor for 2026-2027, Ceado will be supporting WBC competitors by allowing them to achieve the absolute highest clarity and flavour expression from their coffee beans – a finicky raw material that is passed along many hard-working hands before it becomes the final product.
“Coffee undertakes an extraordinary journey before it reaches our grinders – a journey made of work, expertise, and precious natural resources.” Ceado explained in the announcement of their WBC sponsorship. “The best way to honour that journey is to provide the highest-performing equipment and educate how to use it…”
To accommodate more than one workflow, Ceado will be presenting two of their most advanced WBC-qualified grinders: the Rev Zero and the E37Z Naked. Both are powerhouses in precision and retention control.
Rev Zero On-Demand Espresso Grinder – For Continuous Workflow
As to be expected by Ceado grinders at this point, the Rev Zero is outstanding when it comes to retention control; the burrs can rotate in the opposite direction after a cycle, effectively clearing out any remaining coffee grounds and fines.
At the same time, the Rev Zero operates with the high speeds necessary for incredibly streamlined workflows, where multitasking and efficiency are essential. The espresso grinder also houses 83mm flat burrs with a “Red Speed” coating to ensure clarity and distinctive flavour profiles.
E37Z-Naked Single-Dose Grinder
Ceado’s E37Z (designed for filter or espresso) utilizes a robust 45-degree grinding chamber and built-in bellows to deliver extremely low-retention grinding and better flavour control.
The E37Z also includes a DLC (Diamond-Like-Coating) flat burr set, screw-free design, and three-stage geometry. From this commercial-rated grinder, WBC competitors can expect uniform extractions and an optimized coffee flow.
As Ceado’s distributing partner in Canada, we could not be more excited to learn of their role as the Qualified Espresso Grinder Sponsor of the WBC. We look forward to watching as the Rev Zero and E37Z-Naked grinders play an essential part in supporting dozens of the world’s most passionate and skilled baristas in their competition sets.
