  • A CLASSIC SINCE 2005!

If you are used to making a pot of coffee even when you want just a cup, then this great little brewer may well be your saviour. Arguably the most popular manual brew method over the past decade, the HARIO V60-02 is a is a reimagining of the classic cone dripper. There are as many opinions on brew method as there are baristas but, once you have found your favourite, this is one of cheapest and most effective ways to make great coffee at home.

This method, paired with the appropriate filters, is ideal for making single cups of coffee directly into the mug - you can make up to 16oz in one brew - and ensures that you only make the coffee that you need. It's simple to use, easy to clean and, as long as you have good coffee, may make you put your coffee machine away for good.

This HARIO V60 is plastic (BPA-free and shatter resistant), but it is also available in ceramic (prettier and better at retaining heat), heatproof glass or metal with a variety of finishes. Whichever you choose, your days of old, microwaved coffee could be over.

V60 drip brew brewer pourover pour over pour-over plastic harryo haroi kalita wave melitta

This plastic pour-over dripper is praised as a "timeless classic" offering excellent value and versatility. Customers love its lightweight, durable design, superior heat retention vs. ceramic, and attractive color options. While beginners find it accessible, it "takes learning" to master. Some note heat fractures develop over time and prefer ceramic's feel.

V60 vs Chemex Funnex

Great brewer! Coming from a Chemex Funnex brewer, I appreciate the durability and the cost of the V60, filters are much cheaper and I’m not worried about shattering the brewer if I accidentally knock it over (or yer furry friend ask me how I know). The V60 has a much larger mouth and is easier to play with different brewing techniques in my opinion.

I added a rubber gasket to the bottom of the brewer to stop it from sliding on the mug and to improve the tactile feel of the brewing experience.

Classics never go out of style

What more can we really say about this little piece of plastic.

It's like a guitar. Easy to play, but impossible to master. You can be a noob and still eek out a pretty decent cup of coffee with some info freely available on YouTube or /r/pourover.

Or you can go nuts and try different pouring techniques with emphasis on ratios, grind size and all that craziness. If I only had 2 brewers available, it'd be this and am aeropress and you've got yourself something you can learn and grow with.

The size 2 hits a sweet spot, as it can also use size one filters. If size is no issue, grab a size 3 and use whichever sized filter you like. It's versatile and scales up or down as needed.

Get one and don't look back if you're looking for a first brewer.

Fine

The price is right, but it develops heat fractures over time that weaken and develop in cracks if knocked about

Great! Hard to master though.

It has made me many tasty brews and many that leave something to be desired, but the learning process has been fun! If anything, I would recommend a steep and release brewer or a flat bottom before this, as it can be much easier to make consistently, but this is the gold standard of coffee makers for a reason.

Green up your collection

I have both the V60-01 and V60-02 in clear and decided I wanted a different colour to travel with me and the deep sea green is perfect. Does the job as does all the other Hario pour overs do. Enjoy!

Timeless classic

The V60 is still so good and so affordable. Everyone should have one if only as backup. Incredible value

Does the job, but less user joy than the ceramic version

I have a 1-cup ceramic V60. I tried the plastic version based on low thermal mass for light roasts, but, while it totally does the job, it's much less enjoyable to use than the ceramic version. By comparison, it feels cheap and plasticy; of course it is cheap and plastic, so I can't really fault it for that, but I can't say that I've noticed a difference in the coffee and I just prefer using the ceramic one - it has some heft, it feels solid.

Great for pour over

I had a ceramic V60-02 and got the clear plastic for easier handling and love the lightness of it. It’s the one of choice from my cupboard now.

A classic never gets old

It’s my third purchase. I’ve been using numbers of dripper, but there’s always a room for this old classic hario, which was my first dripper long time ago. It works super well with Ethiopia bean especially any berry notes. A must-have item for any coffee lover.

The classic, a must have item for every coffee lover.

What more is there to say about the v60 from Hario. If you haven’t tried v60 pour overs, do yourself a favour and pick one up and give it a try.

Better than expected

This plastic V60 was recommended to me by an acquaintance.
I was hesitant at first because I hate plastic but this dripper performed way better than expected.
Unlike its ceramic sibling, this plastic version is better with thermal retention. It takes the least amount of energy to pre heat and tends to hold that energy very well, resulting in a better bloom and overall brew.
Also, for the price and it practically being indestructible, you can't go wrong.
My ceramic version has been collecting dust since this one showed up.

Love the Deep Sea Colour

I replaced my clear V60 with the updated deep sea color V60. A classic with a little splash of great color, what more could you want?

Fantastic piece of coffee gear!!

Having used only french press for the past decade and Never having even tried pour over method before as well as buying a new grinder same time as the v60 it was a great way to save money and still get best results! Highly recommend if your just getting into this method and aren't sure if you'll like it or not!
I love the coffee that this v60 makes, actually haven't used French press since I got it!
