A very in-depth coffee blogger, Jonathan Gagné published a blog titled "Brewing with the Fellow Stagg [X] Dripper" In this article, Jonathan describes the problem of bypass in the standard cone drippers. This set the creators of NextLevel to think and experiment. What they found surprised them, and yet was so compelling that the NextLevel brewer was born.

Through much trial and error, they have arrived at what they feel is a very thought-out and efficient brewing method. They believe this brewer could become the versatile / go-to / daily driver for a large segment of coffee enthusiasts who brew manually. They believe this is the future of coffee brewing and want to share this brewing method with as many as possible.
