Replaced ceramic

So far so good with the steel burrs. Eight ounce coffee had the best price. Shipping took a little long though.

upgrade for vario(or ap forte?)

way better than ceramic burrs for filter and modern style espresso.

and it fits mahlkonig x54 too

Very Good, Very Sharp Burrs

Bararza makes good coffee geer. Changed out my ceramic burrs on my Virtuoso to steel burrs to reduce fines and uneven grind for the benefit of even extraction for my pour overs and to eliminate stalling in my Yama siphon pot with a glass rod filter. Mission’s accomplished. My thought is that relatively dull ceramic burrs crush beans causing fines and powder. Steel burrs are sharp and cut beans, producing less fines.

great upgrade

Upgraded from my stock Mahlkonig X54 burrs, slower to grind but shots are less harsh, sweeter, they feel more balanced and more forgivable!

Brew Away

Upped the espresso grinder, the Vario has now has brew duty! The steel burrs are remarkably different than the ceramic, a very aggressive cut. Super easy install too.
First impressions seem like less fines, but will see if it makes a difference with the cold brew filtering.
Only thing I was a little disappointed in was the shipping packaging. The burrs were loose in a plastic bag together. No marks I could see, but I think wrapping them separately with some packing paper could be a good Idea.
