A good rebuild kit. Nice that it includes the shims. Just be careful to make note that you add in the same number of spacers as were there before

My 10 year old Preciso plastic gear finally gave up the ghost. And decided to rebuild with new control board, burrs and all from Eight ounce. Everything fit and work, instructions from Baratza are very detailed and easy to follow. Feel good to fix up instead of more garbage, of which, Eightounce outfit should use envelopes to ship small parts instead of giant carton boxes to pack. All in all good reasonable pricing and prompt shipping.

Upgrade parts fit like a glove and work like a charm. Brought life back to a very good grinder.

it's a bit fiddly to keep all the parts organized but it's great to be able to repair the grinder myself!!

This Kit did the trick. Thanks to the Baratza Youtube video the installation went well. The bonus is that with this kit we were able to upgrade the Preciso by making it even better suited to espresso grind. All around, the service at Eight Ounce Coffee, the delivery and the kit made it a positive experience.

New life to old machine

Quite simple to install using Baratza’s instruction videos. I had to replace the motor on my Preciso because the worm gear on it had worn spots. It may be something others doing an upgrade may want to examine. One draw back there was that while the motor was easy to install, it lacked wires so those from the old motor had to be salvaged and fitted with new L shaped female ends. Some swearing and crying when I lost the tiny clicker and broke the indexing ring. Eight Once shipped then out very quickly.

My aging Virtuoso grinder has performed like a champ for many years. Then a stone in some coffee resulted in stripping the gears. Pandemic-related job cuts prevented me from buying the new Baratza grinder I’ve been wanting (Sette 30). Luckily, this inexpensive kit brought my old beast back to life and it’s working like a charm. Big thanks for the very detailed installation videos. When the job situation turns around, I can promise I’ll be ordering that new grinder from Eight Ounce!

It's great that Baratza sells spare parts for their grinders and has instructional videos on how to the repairs on YouTube. These days so many things are designed to be disposable, so I really appreciate the effort Baratza makes here. This kit was able to get my 10-year-old (!) Virtuoso going again after some teeth had worn off the main drive gear. I found the replacement process a bit complicated, but the good YouTube instructions (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1c61-_iGGdI) make it pretty straightforward as long as you pay attention.

I experienced an unwelcome drivetrain failure on my Preciso one morning, and this rebuild kit got me back up and grinding again. Not a difficult repair. Everything fit perfectly and I'm happy to have my grinder back in service.

My grinder already had the 2.0 gearbox and some teeth stripped on the main gear. I had to buy the whole rebuild kit for one piece. It would be nice if the gear was carried as a separate part.
I was glad I could get my grinder running the same day however. So happy to have a local source for Baratza parts!

Parts arrived relatively promptly, no problems. Also, about the same cost as ordering from the US . I’m happy!
