Introducing the pinnacle in coffee distribution! DUOMO The Eight brings competition level extraction with every shot of espresso. Using DUOMO The Eight is a very pleasurable experience. The high-quality aluminum body feels great in the hand and looks even better on your countertop. The Eight is very ergonomic, and can excel in a busy cafe or compliment a meditative, morning espresso routine. The action of the press is very satisfying, the spin is effortless and effective, and the base has a built in brush to keep the eight needles nice and tidy.
DUOMO designed The Eight around the technique of the Weiss Distribution Technique (WDT). The Eight perfects the WDT and produces a more even, efficient and clean distribution (good-bye funnel and paper clip!). The design and placement of the eight needles allow for optimal performance. The end result is fluffy espresso that is evenly distributed throughout the entire basket. Shots pull more consistently and showcase the espresso in its truest form.
Don't just take our word for it, you can read more about the Duomo here from Karine Ng, Quality Director at Phil & Sebasitian Coffee Roasters and multiple Canadian National Barista Competition finalist.

I just love the Duomo 8 coffee distribution tool. For good Espresso, the key is to have consistency in every shot. The Duomo 8 does this. It breaks up the clumps and distributes the grounds consistent thru the entire thickness. Just tamp to get the perfect puck every time.
Well built and works well. Consistently getting a fluffy and flat bed before tamping after using this everytime. Make sure you adjust the needle length before using and it works very well.
The packaging, build, weight/feel, stand/base, brush to clean (that can be removed), adjust needle depth, consistency, speed, all AMAZING!
price on higher side, but the amount of satisfaction is priceless
The Duomo might cost a lot, but if you have the money and want something very well built, easy to use and effective, then the Duomo is the what you need. I use a tooth pick before buying the Duomo because I want something that will be easy to use for my girlfriend. The “puck drill” must be easy for her.
Definitely works as a WDT and leveller (e.g. OCD Tool) 2-in-1 tool.
Roughly 4-6 spins with The Eight are enough to change a mountain of clumpy coffee grounds into a ready-to-tamp “soft puck”. Shot over shot consistency is even better than my old paper clip + leveller + tamp workflow. (Shot out weight and time verified with Acaia Lunar scale and app)
I have tried almost all tools in the market and Duomo does an amazing job at distributing and breaking down the clumps.
Right out of the box, without any further changes in o the depth, my naked portafilter showed a slower and very consistent shot/flow, back to back to back.
I do recommend to measure the depth of your portafilter and take the time to adjust it so that the needles go as close to the bottom of the portafilter as possible to allow for even a more in depth distribution.
5+ stars from me!
So much more convenient than wdt with a single paper clip. Easy to clean while on the stand. Take the time when you get it to set the depth as best you can and you'll notice the differences instantly
