  • Meet Prismo, the AeroPress® attachment that unlocks espresso-style coffee when you don’t have an espresso machine. Syrupy and full-bodied, Prismo’s quick punch of caffeine will save the day…or at least your morning

Pressure Actuated Valve – The secret weapon for “pulling a shot” with more pressure. The valve stays sealed until you press down. The valve’s small aperture also fits directly over an espresso shot glass.

No Drip Seal – Ditch the flip. Brew a full immersion without inverting your AeroPress®.

Reusable Etched Metal Filter – Cut out the middleman. The 80 micron etched fine metal filter stops sludge in its tracks. A paper filter can also be placed on top of the metal filter.

    • Compatible only with the AeroPress® Coffee Maker
    • Body material: Polypropylene and 30% glass fill polymer
    • Valve material: Silicone
    • Reusable 80 micron etched fine stainless steel filter
    • Diameter: 7cm, Height: 2.5cm

Cool attachment that doesn’t meet expectations

I was very excited about trying this attachment out considering how highly regarded it seemed. I followed all the instructions to a tee that Fellow includes in the box and online and it didn’t turn out to good. I use a burr grinder set to the finest setting, their EKG kettle, scale, freshly roasted quality coffee and obviously the Aeropress. Every attempt yielded either too bitter and intense flavour or sour. I had to dump almost every attempt. I tried using my Aeropress metal disk inside a well to help with pressure but it didn’t seem to help that much. The only thing I can think of that may be causing my issues besides the Prismo being an underwhelming product is my burr grinder may not be getting a consistent fine espresso grind. I’ve given up on this and went back to using the regular Aeropress attachment with metal disk filter. :(

Works well, not much different from metal filter

So far I've only tried it on light, medium-light and medium roast beans, ultra-fine espresso grind like the Prismo instruction booklet suggested.

It tastes good, but not all that different from your standard metal-mesh Aeropress filter, which is not surprising, since it is essentially a metal-mesh filter with the pressurizing sprout attached to it.

Nice variation on Aeropress and cool alternative to paper filters too

Love the fact that the Prismo totally eliminates the need for paper filters (which I still like to use) because it's extra convenient for travel, or when I forget to pack them. It's also cool to be able to enjoy a variation on the final product (the coffee!) - the Prismo kind of makes the Aeropress into a whole different coffee brewer. Sometimes I use it to make espresso styles shots, and others I just use it in lieu of the paper filters. The end flavour is slightly different. Gotta love variety.

Super easy to clean too.

Fellow Prismo

It works great. The flipping was definitely a drawback with the original design. This device makes using the aeropress so much more convenient.
My only quibble, it fits a bit tight. Hard to remove. It will probably wear in!

Great coffee, easy to clean

I mainly got this for the metal filter so I wouldn't have to keep buying/using paper filters. The fact that there is a pressure activated valve helps reduce the mess, since there is no dripping while there is water in the Aeropress.

My only complaints would be that it is a tight fit when screwing onto my Aeropress, and that it doesn't quite fit into the Fellow Carter mug (it fits and brews fine, but it doesn't sit level on the lip of the mug like when I have the original Aeropress filter cap on.)
