  • Believe it or not, bamboo is not just the foodstuff of pandas.

It can also be used to make other things, like this elegant stirrer.

But why do you need one? Picture your beautiful glass syphon heating gently on the counter, the water near boiling and achingly close to ascending into the upper brew chamber. It's nearly time to stir the coffee so you reach for a spoon in anticipation. Suddenly you realise that the spoon is too short and that, with one false move, you could easily damage your beloved syphon.

    Enter the bamboo stirrer.

Soft, efficient, a good length for any brew method, and paddle shaped to give a more even agitation. It's also really easy to keep clean as all it requires is a wipe down with a damp cloth after use, then left to dry.

Simple and functional

It's sturdy and hasn't yet splintered. I just give it a quick rinse under the tap and it's good to go again. Naturally, it's stained slightly from coffee, but the discoloration is slight. Works great for my V60, Kalita, french press, Aeropress, etc... Not much more to say than it gets the job done, doesn't break the bank, and is durable.
