    Designed with a trapezoidal shape, spiral ribs and two small holes to let the brewed coffee drain, the HARIO Pegasus 03 makes it easier to consistently reproduce the desired result when brewing by hand.

    While this brewing consistency is welcomed by coffee professionals, the Pegasus 03 is aimed at enthusiasts who are starting their pourover practice. With these novice brewers in mind, HARIO have also added volumetric markings for differing ground coffee levels on the side of the brewer, and a stable base, that sits comfortably atop carafes, mugs, cups and insulated tumblers, with a "peep hole" to allow for clear sight of the outflow of coffee.

Very convenient dripper

I got the Hario Pegasus mainly because I had some old Melitta coffee filters at home that I couldn't use with my other drippers. So I gave it a try, and I was very pleased with the results. It became my go to dripper at work when I don't have much time to brew my coffee, and I don't want to pay much attention to my pouring technique. The cup of coffee I get with the Pegasus is delicious and I'm sure I won't run out of filter as I can find the Melitta pretty much everywhere. I might try the Hario filters at some point because I like the coffee I get with my V60 (V shape), but given the price and convenience of being able to use the Melitta, I'll stick to it for the time being.
