Scale does what I need it to do. Great that the timer is built in. Like that it uses AAA batteries

The size is great. The scale has an issue at times keeping itself zeroed. Very frustrating when you are wanting to pull a shot in the zone! I don’t mind paying up, however I expect it work well every time. It dose not.

Great and precise scale for under 100$ the addition of a timer is also great for any pourovers!

scale seems to work fine and has some nice features. I find the buttons to turn the scale off, tare, and start the timer difficult to trigger sometimes. The sensors are weak and there is no feedback on the buttons.

These are the best coffee scales, although they certainly aren't the cheapest.

Really, the killer feature is the long shutoff. Most scales shut off after 3 minutes and that isn't long enough for pourover, especially if you get distracted. These ones stay on a long time and I have never had they shut off before I wanted them too.

Otherwise, just a good kitchen scale. The touch is responsite and they are a good size. The text doesn't rub off like cheap scales.

This is my third one. The first one died after dumping coffee all over it from a spill. The second one is still in use, and now this one. This one is a little different from the last two: it is heavier, slightly taller, much faster to calculate weights, but the on/off button is less sensitive: you really have to press and hold for it to turn on.

Hario never fails to deliver on providing high quality products at an overdable price. It’s not an ultra accurate scale but it’s everything you need for making your daily cup of coffee. I love this scale.

Really accurate with chemex

This is a great little scale for daily use. Accurate, if a bit slow. We have been using ours for the last 2 years and the plastic has started to crack and split.

This is my first time getting a dedicated coffee scale and the timer is a great addition. I do find it's a bit slow though, and the lower accuracy at higher weights is a bit annoying—but at least it's honest about that. Really the only reason I removed the star are the buttons. Having them be capacitive touch buttons is nice for water resistance, but I'm never totally sure if I've properly started or stopped the timer because there's no feedback from the button. If this made a small beep or something similar it'd be a 5/5 for me.

It’s accurate, big enough for my Chemex. It’s helping me get predictable results with pour overs, that’s exactly what I wanted.

I’d give this five stars if the weigh tray didn’t break. The tray got a bit loose and I could tell something was rattling inside so I opened it up. Two of the screw bosses broke off the tray. I glued them back on with epoxy but it’s not great.

Does the job but isn’t as responsive as I’d like. Also doesn’t fit in most drip trays.

not a lot of bells and whistles with this scale but it's fast and accurate and has made my coffee routine much easier. Definitely recommend!

Scale works great....happy that it has a timer AND weight scale. I would have to have to fumble around for a timer. All coffee scales should have timers!
This one seems well built. It's not very heavy but seems like it will hold up well over the years.
One bonus for this one....It ALSO weighs gold coins :)

Scale worked well for 6 months. Simple, easy to use. But after 6 months, it died, never to be used again.

Great starter scale. It can be milliseconds to get an accurate measurement and not always get it the first time. But it gets it. It does the job just fine. It is made for coffee specifically pourover even. What more do you need?

This scale has far exceeded my expectations, I got it originally planning to use it till I could afford a Acaia Pearl, but honestly after using this at home for the past 2 months, I see no reason to upgrade.
IMO There is no reason to get another scale if you are a home brewer who isn't making money with coffee!

love that i don’t have to track weight and time using separate devices. there’s a bit of a wait for when you get the actual measurements but it is a great starter to home brewing

I've had this scale for years and it has worked very well. I use it primarily for coffee but also for food every now and then. The buttons are super easy to use and the timer is very useful. It's fairly quick, but not as quick as the more expensive scales like acaia which has me thinking about upgrading. It's a small thing, but having to wait around three seconds for the scale to decide exactly what it wants to read out has become a little annoying. But if instant read out doesn't matter to you this scale looks great, works great and all at a great price.

I like the scale and only comment is that my lighting when with a cup on is poor so I had a small led from Ikea installed and great results

This was my first real coffee scale, yes get yourself something capable of 0.1g increments for bean counting! I've had it for a few years and it's been rock solid. The timer is really nice to have build in.
The only drawback is the scale looses it's accuracy above 200g. This is fine for pour over but using for espresso output with heavier mugs (Notneutral vero) not so good, or weighing portafilters etc. Over time I've been wishing it was faster too.
Great for what it was intended for, just not a great espresso bar scale.

I use mine with a Chemex 8 cup. Works for brewing and preparation plus its great to have a trusty scale in the kitchen! a must have item.
