HARIO V60 Drip-Assist

This works very well with the HARIO V60-02 Dripper, especially if you do not have a slow pour kettle. The water droplets that form cover all the ground coffee in the dripper resulting in a yummy cup of coffee.

I`ve really enjoyed using the drip assist so far. Due to strictly controlled agitation the fines don`t move as much in the bed and you get a cleaner cup. My only complaint is the size of the chamber which does not allow you to dump all the water at once.

This is a neat device for pour consistency. It's particularly useful for travelling when you don't have access to a gooseneck kettle.

The drip assist fits perfectly on the 02 size glass V60 as well as the Mugen. The top of the new V60 NEO 02 seems to be slightly wider than the other 02 size drippers, so the drip assist sort of rests slightly within the dripper instead of right on the top edge like with the other two. No issues with stability or usage with the NEO despite that, though!

Great if you want to take pouring style out of the equation and limit agitation.
I wish someone would make one in stainless steel though!

It’s weird it fits on my timemore dripper perfectly, but not my hario. Still good though.

Can’t believe how awful my V60 pouring skills were until I tried the Drip Assist.
The coffee made with the Drip Assist is smooth and round.

I already have an espresso machine but I tried a filter coffee at a cafe and fell in love with how the notes and taste were different from an espresso or latte. So, I wanted to try it out at home as well, but didn't have confidence in my skills to recreate it. This drip assist however helped save me time trying to make filter coffee and also helps me to cover any mistakes I would normally make. If you don't have time in the morning to fiddle around or if you feel like you don't have the patience to learn how to drip coffee properly, this is it.

This has really helped out getting a cleaner more consistent cup. If you are starting out or even love to play around with your pour over, this is a great tool to play with.

I have an electric tea kettle and didn't want to introduce more pour over variables with a gooseneck kettle, so I bought the drip assist. It's been a fantastic addition to my setup, and it's good value. I highly recommend owning one of these. It has definitely improved the quality of the coffee I'm able to brew.

Great v60 Tool, for even water distribution

I like this assist dripper. Good value for those getting into brewing as you can hold off on a gooseneck!
I like the consistency which can help you evaluate the effect of your pouring stream but means of comparing gentle consistent flow to the effect you are contributing by your pouring technique

Basic gadget, simple to use, inexpensive but one that definitely improves my pour overs.

Making some V60 few time a month for a few years. I was looking to elevate my cup and get some consistency. In a result agreed that it delivered its promiss to be consistant. Pretty sure i am not the only one making a bad V60 once here and there.. tested the drip assist 25 time and none was bad, but none was also super good. They are just all good cup! Good purchase for newbi or if you dont have a chance to use the V60 often like me. Tester on other dripper ans also work with a few.

I ordered this to see if it will work just as good as the Melodrip. I’ve got to say that it evenly distributes the water over the bed of coffee, but does not hit the outer rim of the coffee bed. I wish that the had a third ring of openings to do this.

Not owning a goose-neck kettle, I've found it quite a challenge to pour consistently with the V60. The drip-assist solves that problem, and makes it easy to execute consistent recipes. It feels like this should come standard with the V60. Although the drip-assist won't allow you to do very complicated pouring patterns, I prefer to develop a simple and reproducible recipe.

I have the melo drip, gabby b and the Hario. I don't like using the melo. My favorite method to brew coffee is with a v-60 a coffee sock and the gabby b. I'm getting good brews with the Hario if I bloom the regular way and use the outer holes. The hario drip assist flows faster than I like but if I use the outer channel with a few seconds in the centre I can get a very good cup of coffee. It does not feel as solid as the melo drip or the gabby b. The lower price is a big advantage over the others. I find it difficult to get a consistent brew using a regular pour over, The Hario and the Gabby make it much easier for me to make very good and even great coffee.
