The 2500ml (85oz) KINTO KAKOMI Ceramic Pot makes it easier to cook perfect, delicious one-pot meals. It can be used for direct fire cooking on a gas stove, as well as in a microwave and oven. The heat retention of the clay pot keeps food warm for a long time and its glass-like glaze and extremely low water absorption rate makes it easy to keep clean and helps prevent the transfer of food odours and staining.
Compared to standard clay pots, the KAKOMI Ceramic Pot is more durable and lightweight, making it easy to handle. Sized to serve three to four people, its design enhances traditional dishes like hot pots and Western-style stews like pot-au-feu, and blends naturally with other tableware.
You can steam, simmer, and stew with KAKOMI. To steam, simply add water to the pot, insert the steam plate (sold separately), and turn on the heat. It lets you enclose the rich taste and nutrients of ingredients without using oil.
This product rarely absorbs water, it doesn't need to be seasoned for the first time. When using it for the first time, please gently wash it with neutral detergent. Do not heat without water. Never use for stir-frying or deep-frying foods such as tempura. When using on a gas stove, ensure the pot is stable and not unbalanced. Remove the lid when using in an oven as rapid rise in temperature may cause breakage. The handle will be hot when heated. Use insulated oven mitts to hold. If you place the product on a table while it is hot, it may leave marks, use a trivet. Ceramic pots are heavy, so when carrying, support the product firmly with both hands and be careful not to drop. Quick cooling may cause damage, do not touch with a wet cloth or place in a wet place while hot. Do not heat when completely full of water, as this may cause the product to boil over or cause burns. Especially with highly-viscous soups, bumping the product during cooking or reheating may cause the contents to erupt or splash. Do not boil over high heat unattended, stir occasionally while heating. Please be careful as a sudden rise in temperature may cause damage. After use, remove any food residue and wash as soon as safely possible and dry thoroughly before storing. Do not use harsh cleansers or scrubbing pads when cleaning. Do not use hard metal objects to remove burnt-on food. If food does burn, boil some water in the product, turn the heat to low, add about a tablespoon of baking soda, simmer for two to three minutes, allowing to cool naturally, and then scrub off the burnt food with a melamine sponge. Due to manufacturing characteristics, the size and shape may vary slightly. Due to differences in materials, the colour of the pot body and lid may vary slightly.
