About the Artist
Rachel Erickson is an illustrator from Calgary who has enjoyed creating vibrant, fantastical works of art since she was little. When designing her illustrations, Rachel always seeks inspiration from nature while riding the line between whimsical and weird.

For the limited-edition 354ml (12oz) MiiR Flip Coffee Tumblers, Rachel wanted to capture the eclectic, colourful energy of the Stampede. Using her artist's motif of fun, colourful characters, Rachel created two thematic designs: one inspired by the classic "cowboy" aesthetic (Rowdy Rodeo), and the other a subtle interpretation of the western countryside (Wild West).

Rachel loves how the Calgary Stampede brings people together every year to enjoy pancake breakfasts and a shared sense of excitement.
