Customers praised the steamer's ability to create "perfectly textured" and "silky milk" with "excellent microfoam." The instant heat-up and automatic temperature control were highlights. However, reliability issues were significant, with multiple units malfunctioning within months. The touchscreen responsiveness was consistently criticized as "finicky" and "frustrating."

Simple to use

Simple to use, with outstanding results. I make a latte every morning and the Morning Dream provides a much hotter and silkier experience than even what I expected.

Second machine broke down after 1 year of use

Already wrote a review but cannot edit the existing one so ill write a new one..

First machine broke down after two months of use due to a defective screen.
Fortunately ive got a replacement.

Second machine broke down after 1 year of minimal use.
It exploded during steaming and water started to drip underneath the machine.
Hopefully costumer service will exchange again.

Machine its self provides a weak steaming pressure. For my opinion doesn’t worth all the tech and fanciness.
Would rather look at the Flair Electric Wizard.

Perfect pair!

so easy to use and a perfect pair with the Flair 58

When it works, its a nice compact solution for steaming milk when you dont need a coffee machine. From my experience it has better steam power than a breville bambino. However just a month of using it 1-2 times a day (manual mode, 55C/100% steam pressure) it started leaking water from the bottom. I’ll try to work it out with the manufacturer but I’m disappointed by how fast this machine malfunctioned.

I bought the Morning Dream when there weren’t comparable products on the market, but now there’s steamup and flair ewizard which I might consider instead.

Notes:
- manually purge before use by pressing and holding the back button
- the machine auto sleeps after 3min. Tap either the back or confirm button to wake it

Morning Dream

Received my order a few days ago and had a chance to use this a few times so far. Delivery was quick and well packed.

The machine itself is sleek and honestly doesn't take up much counter space which is great.

Setup itself was easy. However, the Morning app doesn't seem to connect to the machine itself to control steam settings. Good thing is that all operations can be done on the small touchscreen on the machine itself. One critique is that the touchscreen buttons are not as responsive or tactile as I expected. Definitely takes some getting used to. I took off a star for that.

As for the steaming itself, I was able to get silky milk with good microfoam after the second try. The user experience from start to finish is extremely easy. I turn the machine on after I pull my shot, and within seconds it is ready to steam. Clean up is quick - purge and wipe down the wand.

Will have to see how it handles oat milk next. And hopefully, the durability will be good but time will tell.

This is a lot of $$$ for just a milk steamer but it is the perfect pairing to my Flair 58 and for any manual lever machines. Happy with my purchase so far!

Amazing machine. I get perfectly textured non-dairy milk every time, even with the automatic mode and riser. Soy and oat are textured exceptionally well. I have been using this with my Fliar, and the workflow is excellent as well!

The only con may be the touchscreen's lack of responsiveness. That said, this is minor considering how much I've enjoyed the machine.

A Joy to Use

Sometimes I worry that I will no longer be able to use other steamers after switching to the Morning Dream. The automatic shut-off when your milk is at the desired temperature, as well as the adjustable power, make for a superb steaming experience. The touchscreen takes a few tries to get used to but works well enough. I can't really explain why but the texture I get out of this machine is far better than the Bellman and the commerical machine I used to work with. Even when you stretch the milk a bit too little or more than intended, the texture still pours great latte art and is forgiving.

Great out of the box

So far it's been amazing. The ability to take it out of the box and with oat milk make creamy microfoam is so incredible. I imagine it'll only get better as I learn technique.

Perfect silky milk every time! The Morning Dream makes steaming milk effortless

Perfect silky milk every time! The Morning Dream makes steaming milk effortless. The different profiles for whole milk, low fat milk and alternative milks are great. The only negative is that my machine arrived with only a French manual. That was quickly resolved by the factory and Eight Ounce.

Great set up with the robot

Great set up with the robot, is very easy to work with and the automatic mode works great. I find the manual mode the most consistent still. It doesn't have the same power as a raw boiler so if I want to steam more than 2 or 3 drinks I still use my bellman.

Love it!

Such a great machine! I was gifted a nespresso and love it for iced lattes, but with the colder season I wanted to enjoy lattes. I love how this fits in with my machine and it really helps in creating cafe quality milk. I also want to upgrade my nespresso to a manual espresso maker (a Cafelat Robot or Flair), so this is a great investment for when I finally make the leap! Overall, a great machine for producing cafe quality lattes.

Great little machine for specific needs

I bought this steaming machine to do a breakfast event in my food truck. It worked really well and allowed us to serve 'lattes' for this event. We use a concentrated cold brew for our iced lattes and by mixing that with the milk to steam we were able to create a pretty good result.

I have some experience with high end commercial and lower end household espresso machines. One of the big issues with the household machine is switching between espresso and milk wasting time and making it difficult to produce multiple drinks. I believe one of these will extend the enjoyment on your current espresso machine if that is your reason for making a small step to a better machine. Use this to give you the time to save for a dual boiler machine.

It's so good I'm now deciding which Flair Manual Espresso machine to buy

Steams milk really well

Steams milk really well. Price is a bit steep, but almost instant steam is definitely great. I do wish the wand were a bit longer though, restricts the minimum amount of milk I can use to at least 210 ish ml.

Great for my Flair 58

I’ve been utterly frustrated with my Nanofoamer Pro and I’m so glad I got this little guy. I thought I sucked at latte art and just switching to The Morning Dream has changed not only my art but the quality and texture too.

Good Steaming, poor reliability.

Edit:
The Morning costumer service replaced the defective steamer and so far so good. Gets the job done. Better than an on-stove manual steamer. Dont know if its better that other steamers.

Bought the steamer half a year ago. Worked fine for two months than the machine will not start up.
Morning costumer service told me to wait till the end of may to receive me replacement but now one has contacted me and I noticed that the ETA on 8 ounce website was moved to mid July.
Disappointed. At this point want my money back to by different company.

Doesn't worth the headache.

Great steamer, terrible reliability and even worse customer service

My morning dream was awesome— for the 1 week that it worked in January. It soon broke. I worked with customer service and they said I would have to wait a couple months for a replacement machine. Now, it’s almost June, and I still haven’t received a replacement. I have over 100 back and forth emails with their customer service. They made me ship the machine back to Taiwan, purchasing shipping myself, and I had to wait over a month for them to PayPal me to reimburse me for the cost of shipping. It’s been nearly 6 months and I’ve wasted 10+ hours dealing with customer service and still have no machine.

These issues are common, see https://www.reddit.com/r/espresso/s/ZnTfUEb1i7.

I would recommend waiting to purchase until Morning can figure out product reliably and they are able to partner with Eight Ounce to have an effective fulfillment model that doesn’t waste hours of customer time and take half a year to correct an issue.

Good frother but touchscreen isn’t the best

I’ve tried lots of milk frothers and this is def the best one I’ve found from an at home standpoint but the rating was lowered due to the touchscreen. It’s not the easiest to use and can be quite frustrating at times.

best standalone steaming product so far

creates excellent, cafe quality microfoam that is comparable in texture to microfoam created by any professional espresso machine.
nice usability features such as built in temperature sensor and settings for non-dairy milk.
design is sleek and operation is fairly intuitive. the touch screen can be a bit finicky but works well enough once you get used to it. initial setup with the app was fairly straightforward, though a bit buggy as well (issues with bluetooth connection).
i would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a high quality standalone milk steamer, though it is quite pricey and the workflow can be a bit tricky to get used to.

Great machine!

Great little device. Steams milk well. Heats up from sleep in seconds with just a few touches. The thermometer and steam power adjustment are great quality of life features to improve consistency especially for non dairy milks. I agree that the touch inputs are finicky at times, but regardless of the interface the functionality works great. Glad to finally have this machine on my counter!

Close- but some issues

The morning dream is pretty close to being a good steamer. As another reviewer here said- the touch screen is super clumsy, and the app is completely useless.

My main issue with the steamer is that at the start of the cycle, it shoots 1-2 teaspoons of water in to your milk. The machine is so Automated that there is no way to purge this into a towel at the start of the cycle, then pause long enough to put the wand in the pitcher, and then continue with the cycle. The purge cycle is too hard to get to, having to start and stop a steam cycle first, to make that a valid option. So your options to avoid this water going in to your milk are to start the cycle, let it purge in to a towel, then insert the steaming wand in to the milk.. or a wonky cycle through a cycle and purge…

I am using my machine- and the milk is pretty good. It’s hard to get on the thicker side of micro foam, possibly due to the introduction of a lot of water to the milk..

With all the hype and waiting for the Morning Dream, I’m surprised it came to market with these shortcomings, and no option for a quick manual purge at the start of a cycle (like every barista does at the start of steaming on a standard machine)

I can not wholeheartedly recommend the machine if these issues aren’t fixed. I’d seriously consider return mine- but it just feels like more work for me

Love it.

I’ve only had this machine for a couple of weeks, but so far I love it. I have been using the Morning Coffee maker and I missed having properly steamed milk. This solves my problem. It heats up in seconds and makes perfect steamed/frothed milk.

Thank you for the beautiful thoughtfulness of your customer service. The package was good condition and the machine is so insane for the coffee at home.

Downfall is the touch screen

After months of waiting finally got my hand on one recently. I really like the small profile and the instant on (After LCD screen finally responded), steam power is just okay. The worst part of this steamer is the touch screen. Not only it's not very responsive, it's slow and after to fiddle around just to wake it up. There's app integration, but next to useless. You can't really do anything with it, only for it to tell you to do directly do things on the machine. Then why do I need the app for?

I got it so I can make my wife tea latte, and after months of waiting this felt like a disappointment for me to be honest, especially at this price point you can't get the touch screen right is really really sad
