SAINT ANTHONY INDUSTRIES The Bloc Espresso Knock Box and Tamp Station

The sizing and appearance is great except that the front of the box has some cosmeticdefects. Would have been simple enough to have designed the box the other way around.

The knock box and tin bowl are a bit flimsy as well and I doubt the longevity of it. I need to be careful not to hit it too hard or I think it might break. The quality, I would say is therefore on the whole just average.

The spacing for the tamper and distributor are perfect though. Despite the above limitations, we find it excellent for our workflow.

3 stars for the beautiful design and workmanship. However, I cannot give it a higher score due to the practical shortcomings. The space in the knockbox is very small and will fill up after just 3-4 pucks. It's a small inconvenience to have to empty it out often but more capacity would have made this product better. It is a bit of a design flaw because the Tamping Pad is just above the middle of the can and there is quite a bit of unusable space behind it.

The prospect of a standard "utilitarian" knock box taking up space on our kitchen counter isn't very appealing. Nor is the hassle, several times a day, of getting the thing out from under the sink and hiding it again after using. The Saint Anthony solves both problems. It's a stylish piece of kit, well constructed, and does what it's supposed to. Keep in mind the diminutive size, which means max 4-6 pucks before it needs to be emptied and cleaned. Handy as well to have integrated storage space for a couple of tools...

I am a big fan of this. Well made, storage for tools, great to look at. Encourages frequent emptying of the spent pucks as it holds only a few- I’ve had them get moldy with other knock boxes so this is great. Also very compact which works well for our space constrained setup.

Just the right amount of stuff. Nice to have a knock box without needing to either have a bucket on the counter, or to remember to empty a drawer-style knocker. Doesn't look too bad, either.

Stand is beautifully made and perfect size for holding tamper/leveler. One complaint would be that the knocker/tamp stand could be moved
back in the knockbox giving more room for coffee in the knockbox.

However, knockbox section is not that easy to use with my ECM angled handle bottomless portafilter and is rather small as well...
Would have preferred only a nice block for tamper and distributor without a knockbox.

Easy to clean. Looks great and keeps me ready at all times to make great coffee with style. I dump after around 4 shots. That’s enough.

this product is a beautiful sturdy tamp station however not a great knock box. I still think it is great. too small and messy for a knock box.

It looks cool, the brand itself makes great stuff, i ordered this and the new levy. After some use i realized it has a poor design for knocking out the coffee. The coffee ground spray to the sides, hitting my machine and grinder, needs consistent cleaning. I kind of wish i never ordered it to be honest. The new levy though is quite amazing. Oh well..

Cool design and beautiful construction. Looks great beside my Breville. Knock box is on the small side but enough room to fit our morning shots.
