THE FORCE Tamper

Have a Timemore 58.4mm calibrated tamper and a 58.5mm Force tamper. Typically being used for 21g shots. Fits the factory 21g La Marzocco 58mm portafilter excellent. Timemore is an excellent piece and I will keep it indefinetly for a back up tamper to my Force. No need for anything better! That said... This Force tamper has a feel all its own. Ive used a lot of calibrated tampers and this is the only one so far that just gives a different feel. Favorite to use tamper of all time. Hands down. If you don't mind the price, you'll understand once you use it.

This tamper is a special piece of kit. Perfect repeatability, puck after puck. Really takes the guesswork out and eliminates a variable in puck prep.
For all intensive purposes, this is a manual auto tamper for pennies.
You're SAVING money by buying your end-game tamper.
I have no regrets, I love this thing.
I guess the only thing I regret is that I didn't buy it sooner.

Great tamper. ANYONE can pick it up and do as it's intended to do. Wish it wasn't so expensive though!

Works as advertised and takes variable out of the equation. Feels satisfying to use. Only small complaint is after a tamp a very small amount of coffee gets stuck between tamper

I purchased this as a replacement for my Normcore tamper which started making grinding noises after under 2 years of use and I found metal shards coming out of the mechanism. So far, the Force Tamper has been very consistent and a perfect fit for my VST baskets. The key to ensuring a level tamp with the Force tamper is to make sure the tamper is well seated on top of the basket before tamping. I use two fingers to stabilize the tamper before actuating with the other hand.
